Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership, a BBPI public private partnership comprising Assura Group, Galliford Try Investments, CHP and the local PCTs, has reached financial close for its tranche 4 LIFT programme in Liverpool. Childwall will be a neighbourhood health centre complex combined with a library and education facility under an agreement with Liverpool Primary Care Trust, Liverpool City Council and Childwall School. This combined lease has already been successfully implemented in tranche 2 where Liverpool City Council took a long term lease on a nursery facility attached to Picton Neighbourhood Health centre.
Childwall will house two GP practices as well as services for phlebotomy, podiatry, sexual health, vaccination and immunisation. A range of outpatient consulting and treatment services including minor surgery, will also be available to the community. The centre will also incorporate a neighborhood library and education facilities for the community.
This key project brings the total investment volume at Liverpool and Sefton LiftCo to £73m, with construction to be carried out by Galliford Try and subsequent hard FM services by Integral, the same supply chain partners responsible for delivering tranches 1, 2 and 3. Construction is scheduled to start immediately and the building is expected to be operational by Autumn 2011.
Childwall is BBPI's tenth health centre to be delivered in Liverpool and Sefton under the LIFT programme and the company's fourteenth in total, the other four centres are located in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey.
