Bilfinger BergerWiltshire Schools, England

Long-term neglect of educational infrastructure in the UK has created an unsustainable backlog of maintenance and capital funding requirements. In North Wiltshire, the Bilfinger Berger Project Investments procurement model is now delivering a much improved educational environment at a defined cost to the public sector. Under this €62 million, 30-year concession, the private sector assumes direct responsibility for delivering and maintaining a high quality environment, thereby permitting the teaching staff to focus primarily on delivery of the education curriculum.

Up until December 2008, BBPI retained responsibility for management on behalf of the sponsors having disposed of its equity stake in 2006.
